ABOUT

(b.1983) Malin Fezehai is a Swedish Photographer based in New York. After studying photography in
Sweden she moved to New York at the age of 19 to attend the full time program at the International
Center of Photography. Fezehai has covered various topics in Africa, Europe, South America, Asia and
the US and has collaborated with a number of nonprofit organizations. She also worked as a volunteer
at Mother Theresa’s orphanage for HIV - positive children in Ethiopia.
While living in Ethiopia for half a year she worked on a long-term project about children. Because of
the images Fezehai produced in Ethiopia she was awarded the Global Fund for Children/International
Center of Photography Fellowship, which resulted in her first solo exhibition-featuring images from
GFC grantee partners in Washington, DC, and Peru. The show was hosted by the Global Fund for
Children and the Peruvian Embassy at the Toro Mata Gallery in Washington DC. Most recently the
show was featured in an exhibition at the Spur Projects gallery in San Francisco. She also worked on
a Photo-essay documenting war displaced women and children in Sri Lanka.
